Google recently announced two new features that play very significantly to your mobile restaurant SEO needs:
Voice Actions – now you can issue detailed voice commands to your Google mobile device on the go
- Chrome-to-phone extension – with Google’s Chrome browser, ever-growing in popularity, you can now “instantly send the current web page, map, YouTube video, or selected phone number or text to your Android device”
What does this mean for your restaurant SEO?
- We all know that the restaurant selection process, better known as, “What’s for dinner?”, is often made impulsively and on-the-go. Google’s voice actions mean that consumers can now search for your restaurant on-the-go, and when searching mobile, efficiency is key – so you better be on the first page of Google!
- More and more people are using their mobile devices to travel to restaurants and share information with friends. Now they can search for your restaurant, shoot the info to their phone, then shoot it out to their friends and get directions to your restaurant. That is – if your restaurant SEO puts you on the first page of Google where they can find you.
